About Me

My photo
Since retiring from the process of using my various educational accomplishments and work experiences for the vulgar process of earning money, I have been devoting some time and effort to interesting concepts in teaching medieval history through new technology. Unfortunately, the new technology keeps developing faster than the projects can be completed, but the modern web does allow things to be updated. Apart from that, I am a grandmother of four and donkey owner trying to combine modern technology with living a simple life like we did in the olden days. Yes, that is an old photo. Look at the computer. I've aged better than it has.

What Do You Want?

To the website Medieval Writing I have been gradually adding a range of scripts from the very earliest days that could be described as medieval to the early modern period. That is a long time! While I want to provide a broad picture, I am also aware that users have specific needs, but these may be very different. If anyone, or paticularly groups of people with interests in common, out there, has any special requests, I am always willing to listen. I am currently getting a range of signals on what areas people are interested in, but those signals are diverse and sometimes surprising. I have all manner of materials available to put on the site, and the time delay is the time it takes to process every individual effort, so if you want your interest on the top of the pile, just let me know.

Hi Dianne,
I've just checked the site again and enjoyed tooling around as much this time as I did the last time. It's lovely site: open, accessible, endlessly interesting, always encouraging. I'm certainly going to recommend it to students I'll be teaching in a Chaucer course (in fact two courses) I'll be offering in the next semester. Let me see if there's some useful feedback I can give after I've thought about it a bit more. For now, thanks — Jenna
